The M.Com Program

The M.Com Program

The MCom Program of the University prepares the students with the knowledge, skills and strategic perspectives essential to business leadership and a accounting career in the world. The MCom Program is designed to provide both a portfolio of strong functional skills and the ability to apply, adapt and integrate those skills in different financial settings. The program prepares the students to pursue professional career in banking, financial services, insurance, corporates or teaching career in commerce.

Duration

Two Years

Eligibility

Graduation in Commerce with 40% and above aggregate marks; Final year degree students awaiting results.

M.Com (for Working Professionals)

Eligibility

Graduation in Commerce with minimum 40% marks.
*Note: Candidates should have Minimum 2 years of experience in industry / banks / financial services / government / academics etc.



Elective

The students are encouraged to choose six courses from elective streams viz., Marketing, HRM, Finance, Banking, Investments, Insurance and Accounting. Students will have the flexibility in choosing more than one course from these elective streams. Elective courses will be offered subject to a minimum number of students enrolling for a particular elective course.

Award of Degree

Successful students will receive the MCom degree from the University, subje ct to University regulations.


Program Structure

The Program covers 25 courses apart from soft skills spread over 4 semesters in 2 years. Students are also required to undergo a summer internship program / Project work during the summer term.
