ICFAI University received award as the Best Private University from Assocham
- ICFAI University Jharkhand was awarded the “Best Private University in the Eastern India" at the Assocham Educational Summit held in Ranchi on 29th April 2016.
- Prof ORS Rao, Vice-Chancellor of the University received the award , on behalf of the University, from Dr Dinesh Oraon, Speaker of Jharkhand State Legislative Assembly.
- Shri Manish Jaiswal, MLA of Jharkhand Assembly and Shri Ajay Kumar Singh, IAS, Secretary, Higher and Technical education, Govt of Jharkhand were also present on the occasion.
ICFAI University received an award of Recognition from Red Cross Society for its selfless service to humanity by way of blood donations by its students and employees.

- Prof ORS Rao, VC was invited by Association of Indian Universities to speak on “Quality of Higher Education in India” at the East Zone VC’s conference in Hazaribagh on Dec 5, 2014.
- Mr. Akinchan Sinha, Ph.D Scholar of 2014 batch received the second best paper award for the paper he presented at the conference at Siva Sivani Institute of Management, Hyderabad on Feb 12, 2015.
- The University was honoured by Rama Krishna Mission Ashrama, Ranchi on 21st Nov 2013 for its efforts in inculcating "Values" among its students.
Five students of the BCA Program led by Mr. Akash Verma and Rajnandani Tiwary (BCA-DSAI) participated in the different given below National Hackathons and won the competition nationwide.
They achieved 1st Position in Smart India Hackathon-2023, Conducted by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE, New Delhi on 19th to 20th December 2023 at Anand Institute of Technology, Chennai.
They got 1st Prize in E-Suraksha Cybersecurity National Hackathon conducted by the Chandigarh University, Chandigarh on 19th to 20th Nov 23 in physical mode.
They have won 1st prize in the Concetto Hackathon at IIT ISM Dhanbad.
They were Finalists top 8 teams in India in Atlassian Hackathon at IIT Bombay.
They were Semi Finalists in Microsoft Imagine Cup.
